Ross Baker Towing is the Official Police Garage for Mission Division 19 and Devonshire Division 17. At the request of the officer we tow and store vehicles at our two locations. The officer makes the decision to impound the vehicle, usually because of a violation of the California Vehicle Code.

If you believe there was not “probable cause” for towing your vehicle, you may request a Post Impoundment Hearing within 10 days of impound. Complete the Vehicle Impound Hearing Rights form: Devonshire, Mission. You must request a hearing by phone, writing or in person at the agency that impounded your vehicle within 10 days of impound.

We release vehicles: 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week.
We inspect each vehicle for valuables and store the valuables separately. Valuable property is released: 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

We accept Cash, Visa and MasterCard. No Checks. City impound rates apply.

To collect your vehicle, you need the following information:
Make and model of vehicle
License or Vehicle Identification Number
Driver’s License or Government Photo Identification
Proof of ownership, such as: Current Vehicle Registration, Certificate of Ownership or
DMV deposit of fees print out.

Search the Official Police Garage Database to find your car and the estimated fees.

If the impounding agency placed a “HOLD” on your vehicle, we can only release it once you have provided a vehicle release form from that agency. Holds may be placed for the following reasons:

	22651.I		5 or more unpaid parking citations
	22651.J		Illegally parked with no proof of registration
	22651.O		Expired registration
	22651.P		Driving without a valid license
	14602.6		Driving with a suspended or revoked license

Impound rates are set by the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Police Commission. We are required by Law to collect the following fees for the City of Los Angeles. Please direct any questions or concerns regarding the rates or ordinances to the Los Angeles City Clerk at 213 485-3988.
